SHG (Self Help Group)

Self-Help Groups among women are formed, so that women as a group are trained to save, plan and control their credit. Until the recent past, most of the women depending mostly on seasonal agricultural works. But now women are able to get additional income through the income generation programmes adopted through the women groups. This has raised their economic status, social status and decision making power.
