Holistic development of a Nation results on a continual and wholesome development of its rural economy, wherever the rural area is the core in terms of population, agriculture is the main occupation. However the sustainable development of the rural area and its people despite the best efforts has not kept paces with its urban counterpart. Recognizing these development imbalances, POWER has initiated many activities for the rural development.

The objectives of POWER are :

To create awareness among women on sexual abuse, discrimination and all kinds of violence against women.
To encourage and motivate them in revenue generating activities.
To transfer appropriate technologies from various institutions, industries to rural people for bridging the gap between the rural and urban.
To deal with nature conservation, environmental protection, bio diversity, bio sources, bio informatics and other developmental issues.
Digital inclusion for fostering rural prosperity and grass root development.
To work in key areas of development like disaster management, flood mitigation, Management Information System (MIS), Information Technology (IT), economic growth, energy, environmental issues, gender equity and rights, health, industrial safety and human resources development.
Access to primary healthcare facilites including reproductive health services,cancer prevention.
