POWER with its volunteers carried out medical camp at Tsunami-affected area in Nagapattinam region. POWER and its sister organization were there in the affected areas and distributed relief materials. Currently POWER is engaged in providing rehabilitation to those affected people and has trained them on Alternate Building Materials. Our President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam was appreciative of our efforts.

In a devastated Government Hospital a ward was completely furnished in association with Lawyers forum, Karnataka.

POWER, in coordination with Periyar Maniamman College of Technology, has enabled a water purifier with capacity of 2000 litres per day to be installed and maintained at Nagapattinum Government Hospital.

TSUNAMI - Unprecedented Disaster
Akkaraipettai, Nagapattinam was the most affected area by Tsunami. 162 women from Akkaraipettai have been selected and special training was given to them in building materials manufacturing. This may serve as e-employment for fisher women for their rehabilitation POWER also offers "Training for Trainer" Programme, which is a Master Programme.

POWER is a well-recognized training center for Entrepreneur Development Programme and has tied up with more than 7 agencies to provide training on Entrepreneur Development. In the last year it has trained 1139 persons in coordination with these Agencies.
